The Founder’s Weekend 2009 was filled with unexpected weather but the brothers of Alpha Eta Lambda were still making their rounds in the City of Houston. Brothers were in attendance at forum and book signing with Brother Cornell West, at a surprise birthday celebration for our Chapter Historian Brother James Harrison, or just hanging with the brothers having a Brotherhood Smoke.
On Sunday December 6, 2009 the brothers attended morning service at Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church where several of our chapter brothers are members. The brothers enjoyed the worship service and were recognized by the pastor. Over 30 Brothers, including Delta Theta Chapter Brothers, attended the service and donated $700.00 to the church scholarship fund. The monies donated will be awarded in the form of a named scholarship in June 2010.
